Beth Helme-Smith, MS, CNM

OMG Photos 2017 (Web)-Beth (1) Beth has been with the practice since 2004, and has been a constant presence at OMG over the years! She has over 2 decades of midwifery experience, with a BSN from Loyola and an MS and Post-Master’s certificate from UIC. In addition to being a midwife, Beth is Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and a Registered Nurse First Assistant.

Beth is passionate about empowering women to make informed healthcare choices that are best suited to their families, and providing holistic obstetric and gynecological care. She is very interested in research being done on the placenta and its role in developing complications. She also is a strong advocate for stem cell research and the role cord blood may play in regenerative and restorative medicine.

Beth lives in the far south suburbs with her husband, Brian, and their two sons, Jake and Josh, and their dog Max. In her free time, Beth is often found cheering on her sons at their sporting events. She also enjoys gardening, cooking, and baking. Beth also loves traveling and going on outdoor adventures.

Briana Bloembergen, MSN, CNM

Briana has been with OMG since January 2015! Prior to becoming a nurse midwife, she gained 6 years of experience as a labor and delivery nurse, some of which was at our very our AMITA Adventist Hinsdale Hospital.

Briana is passionate about providing evidence based care and providing a safe space for women to feel empowered to make informed decisions about their healthcare during pregnancy, childbirth, and beyond. She also has a special passion for breastfeeding support after many personal struggles nursing her own children.

She lives in Evergreen Park with her husband and three kids. Her kids, including 2 year old twins, keep her pretty busy, but when she does have some free time she enjoys entertaining, traveling, and home improvement projects.

Megan Belleavia, MSN, CNM

OMG Photos 2017 (Web)-Megan (1)Megan joined OMG in¬†November¬†of 2016, and had previous experience as a CNM at Mercy Hospital in Chicago. She also has almost 10 years of experience in women’s health prior to becoming a midwife, and brought with her a wide range of knowledge and skills in reproductive health.

Megan is passionate about teaching all of her clients about their body and helping them to achieve their health goals. Contraception and vaginal health are two areas she is especially passionate about. She is strong advocate for evidence-based care and always applying the best recommendations and guidelines for care.

She lives in the Northwest suburbs with her husband and two cats and is excited to be welcoming her first baby this winter. She enjoys traveling, reading, scrap booking, and gardening in her free time.


Sarah Stetina, MSN, CNM

OMG Photos 2017 (Web)-Sarah (2) Sarah joined OMG in Feburary 2017 after graduating from University of Cincinnati with her MSN. Prior to becoming a midwife, Sarah gained experience as a labor and delivery nurse, doula and home birth assistant. She has worked and learned in a variety of birth settings including birth centers, home birth and hospitals.

Sarah is an advocate for evidence-based care, client autonomy and informed consent. She is passionate about respecting client choices, facilitating physiologic birth, and personal empowerment. Sarah has a particular interest in providing trauma informed care to survivors of sexual assault, as well as providing competent and respectful care to the LGBTQ community.

She lives in Downers Grove with her husband, Nick and their cat, Punkin. She loves reading, drinking craft beer, and traveling with her husband and friends.


Kinsey Jackson-Ford, MSN, CNM

OMG Photos 2017 (Web)-Kinsey (1) Kinsey joined OMG in October 2017, bringing our midwife team up to 5! She graduated from Frontier Nursing University with her MSN and brings with her, years of nursing experience. She has worked in labor and delivery since 1999, and joined AMITA Adventist Hinsdale Hospital in 2010 working along side the OMG midwives ever since.

Kinsey is excited to start her midwifery journey with OMG. Her goal is to partner with women and empower them so they can make the best healthcare choices for themselves and their families.

She lives in North Riverside with her husband and three daughters. She uses humor to get through life raising teenage daughters and finds it works well in providing support to women in labor as well!
